“My child has been associated with BTK and “Miss V” since she was in 4th grade. She is now a Junior in college, and I can attribute a good deal of her interpersonal skills and social readiness to the affiliation with BTK. “Miss V” has a vision for kids that makes a lot of other programs pale in comparison. “I attended Beyond the Dream summer camp in elementary school, and my experience was absolutely amazing. I looked forward to going each and every day. I remember almost all of the activities we did, including culinary arts, dance, and sports. There were so many opportunities for the kids my age to get involved and socialize easily. We went on a lot of field trips, some being really educational and inclusive. My buddy, Ms. V is an amazing camp director. She always made me feel like I was at home and made sure that I was okay. She treats the camp counselors well and loves having fun with the kids! My overall experience was truly one of the best, and I would definitely recommend it to any parent that is thinking about it!”

Speaking of “Beyond”… Once I got to know Val, I explained to her my burden for disadvantaged kids in my community of downtown Atlanta where I’ve been a homeowner for the past 23 years. So many of these kids lack positive role models and influence growing up and get into the destructive cycles of drug abuse, gangs, and violence. That’s when she told me about Beyond The Dream Kids and the great work that they do! I was so impressed that I wanted to get involved.

She and her organization have a true heart for making a difference in the lives of Metro Atlanta youth through their education and after school and summer programs. It’s been both a pleasure and honor to work with her and BTD Kids over the years!”
